There are many ways You Can Give to the community through the Y
Annual Campaign
The Y is a positive force in this community.
Together, we take on the challenges that shape our San Diego’s future. From tackling the achievement gap to teaching healthy habits for a lifetime or giving people the chance to strengthen our community through volunteering, everything the Y does is in service of building a better us. Every day, our community faces new challenges that create a greater need for the work we do. YMCA donors, volunteers, members and partners like you make the difference. Your gift can help San Diego and everyone in it shine.

Capital Gifts
Our YMCA branch facilities need updates, renovations and expansions throughout the years to allow us to meet the growing physical, educational and social needs of the communities we serve. With your help, our Y campuses, buildings and environments can stay modern, accessible and relevant to serve others and nurture neighbors of all ages and abilities for decades to come.
Contact Association Development Director for Capital, Emily Figueiredo, at emilyf@ymcasd.org or 760-635-3057 to ask about current capital gift or naming opportunities.

Volunteering
Volunteering is one of the essential ways the Y engages people and helps them to be healthy, confident, and connected to others. The role of volunteers distinguishes the Y as a place where everyone can take an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change in the community. At the Y, volunteer development is everyone’s job. A strong partnership between volunteers and staff is essential to operating effective and cause-driven programs.
To achieve that partnership, Ys prepare for and manage environments in which staff and volunteers work together in clearly defined roles to advance the Y’s cause. This requires everyone’s commitment to provide meaningful opportunities for volunteers that match their interests and to ensure the operational and financial support to engage, manage, and recognize program volunteers.
To volunteer specifically for fundraising, please contact Vice President of Development, Courtney Cordero, at ccordero@ymcasd.org or 858-292-9622. All other volunteer inquiries, click below.
