Fitness Orientations

The Y offers free fitness orientations to help you learn to use exercise equipment, create a plan and develop goals that fit your personal path to health.

FITNESS Onboarding

Members may schedule a complimentary 60-minute fitness onboarding appointment with one of our expert fitness coaches. During this session, your coach will:

  • Learn about your personal fitness journey and discuss your health background.
  • Help you create S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-Bound) to help get focused and inspired. 
  • Create a custom two-week workout plan tailored specifically to you.
  • Guide you through a comfortable workout so you can feel confident and ready to exercise on your own.

FamilyFIT Orientation

Youth ages 7-12 must complete a FamilyFIT Orientations prior to using our fitness centers. These 60-minute complimentary sessions help families achieve their health goals at the Y by learning proper exercise techniques, correct and safe usage of equipment and guidelines for the fitness center and group fitness classes.

Children will learn proper techniques for the appropriate equipment and receive guidance on setting up a safe routine that fosters life-long healthy habits. Children ages 7-12 must wear a wristband provided by Welcome Center staff while exercising. For more information or to schedule a FamilyFIT Orientation, visit the Welcome Center at your branch.
