Meet Our New Executive VP & Chief Operating Officer
Cesar Silva has joined our Y family as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer as of September 30, 2025. This is a significant milestone for our organization as we continue to multiply our mission, fulfill our vision to be the catalyst to transform lives and communities, and strengthen our commitment to fostering community well-being and belonging.
Cesar’s passion, strategic insight, and deep alignment with the Y’s culture and values uniquely equip him to lead us into this next chapter. With over 25 years of dedicated service to the Y movement, Cesar brings a wealth of experience in senior and C-Suite leadership roles. His expertise spans operations, government contracts, finance, and strategic planning – key areas that will drive our continued growth and impact.

Most recently, Cesar served as COO of the Los Angeles YMCA and previously held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for the Y of the USA. He successfully guided teams across these roles and those prior, worked closely with governing boards and communities, and led initiatives to achieve ambitious goals. After conducting a national search guided by the Board of Directors’ leadership, the C-Suite team, and the Regional Executive Directors, it was clear that Cesar was the perfect fit for this pivotal role.
Cesar’s impact goes far beyond his professional expertise. Born in Brazil and fluent in four languages, he offers a global perspective that perfectly complements our bi-national and international efforts.
